Frequently asked questions

What materials can you laser cut?

We cut mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass on our 6kW Bystronic fibre laser. Fibre technology handles reflective materials like aluminium, copper and brass efficiently, with clean edges that need minimal finishing.

What's the maximum thickness you can cut?

Our fibre laser cuts up to 25mm in mild steel, 30mm in stainless steel, 30mm in aluminium, 15mm in brass and 12mm in copper. If your part sits outside those limits, talk to us — we can often advise an alternative approach.

What's the maximum sheet size you can cut?

Our Bystronic ByCut Star 3015 handles sheets up to 3000 × 1500mm, with a maximum sheet weight of 1550kg.

What file formats do you accept?

DXF and DWG files are ideal, and we work directly from STEP files and PDF drawings too. If you only have a sketch or a sample, our in-house design team can produce the cutting files for you.

Do you offer laser cutting as a standalone service?

Yes. Many customers use us for cut-only supply. Equally, parts can flow straight into folding, welding, powder coating and assembly – all under one roof, with full traceability.
